pro clima Certified Installer Training

A two-day course for experienced installers and builders looking for an in-depth understanding of pro clima weathertightness and airtightness systems.

Description

There is an increasing demand for specialised installation services of building envelope products and materials. This two day course is for experienced installers who are looking for more in-depth understanding of pro clima weathertightness and airtightness systems.

Selected participants will have the option of going on to become pro clima Certified Installers. 

During this course, you’ll learn some of the science of moisture and vapour control. You’ll also gain hands-on experience of the whole range of Pro Clima solutions.

Prerequisites

Experience installing weathertightness and airtightness solutions.

To become a pro clima Certified Installer, participants must:

  • Be an existing Pro Clima customer account holder.
  • Have experience installing pro clima products.
  • Provide at least two written references from clients.
  • Successfully complete any practical and theory assessments associated with this course.
  • Sign a pro clima Certified Installer agreement.

This course contains a practical component. Please dress appropriately.

You will be provided with an introduction to the science of coupled heat and moisture analysis and material properties. Participants will learn what hygrothermal modelling and WUFI® software is capable of, become confident to request an analysis from a practitioner and will become able to understand the results of modelling.

You will be provided with competency in one dimensional hygrothermal modelling of building elements such as walls, roofs and floors using WUFI® Pro. Participants will become able to set up and run a WUFI® 1D simulation of a building element. They will also become able to interpret and present the results of the simulation.
