Conducting accurate measurements of a building envelope is an essential skill of an ATTMA Airtightness Tester, as well as builders and consultants. For anything other than simple flat-roofed structures, documenting these calculations can be difficult.
Luckily, formidable tools are available to make this task readily achievable. Free versions of SketchUp software are available, and these have powerful capabilities for calculating surface areas and volumes of anything from simple to complex shapes.
Join us for a beginner’s introduction to using SketchUp software to carry out calculations of building envelope area, such as those used in airtightness calculations.
In order to take this course, you need to have downloaded and installed the free or paid version of SketchUp (links provided with confirmation).
Before the webinar, you must have downloaded SketchUp and have basic familiarity with the functionality.
Details for where to download the software are available upon registration.
This webinar will be conducted entirely online via GoToMeeting, which works with most browsers, or with the GoToMeeting phone or tablet app.

Take the exam to become re-accredited as a Registered ATTMA Level 1 Air Tightness TesterMore Information
You will be provided with an introduction to the science of coupled heat and moisture analysis and material properties. Participants will learn what hygrothermal modelling and WUFI® software is capable of, become confident to request an analysis from a practitioner and will become able to understand the results of modelling.More Information
You will be provided with competency in two-dimensional hygrothermal modelling of building structures using WUFI® 2D. Participants will become able to set up and run a WUFI® 2D simulation of a building structure such as a wall-floor connection. They will also be able to interpret and present the results of the simulation.More Information
What exactly is WUFI® software and why is it so beneficial? Join us for a relaxed drink and a brief introduction to hygrothermal modelling. This is a great opportunity to decide if one of our WUFI® training courses is right for you.More Information
